How To Use:
To use as sacred smoke (incense): Place sand or salt in the bottom of a fire proof or heat safe vessel. Light a charcoal tablet - this is easiest done with tongs and an automatic lighter. (Do not use barbeque charcoal that has lighter fluid added! Use self-igniting charcoal tablets, or you can use hookah charcoal). Place the charcoal tablet on top of the sand/salt in the vessel. Use a spoon to bank the edges of the charcoal with the sand/salt. Once the charcoal tablet ashes over on top, add a teaspoon of Sanctus Fumus on top. The plant material will begin to smolder and smoke. Use this sacred smoke to fumigate and purify your space of unwanted energies or entities. State your intention (For example: "I banish all energies that work against me") while working counter clockwise around the room. Open doors and windows prior to fumigation, and be sure to fumigate all entryways and corners. Can be used in the same manner to cleanse your personal energy field of negative energies. Formulated to cleanse spaces prior to ritual work.
To use as casting herbs: Once your ritual fire is lit, state your intention and toss a bit of Sanctus Fumus into the fire as an offering to deity/source/ancestors/universe that applies to your ritual working.
To use for boundary setting: Sprinkle Sanctus Fumus around entry points, like doorways and windows. Place under your doormat or in window sills. Use anywhere you need to create a spiritual boundary and "lock out" unwanted energies.
